How do you define success in your caregiving role?
Just like any other role we take on in our life be it spouse, parent, employee - we tie measures of success to how well we are doing in fulfilling our role. And our caregiving role is no different.
Caregiving is no easy task yet the goals and expectations we set for ourselves, in terms of how successful we are in our caregiving role, can quickly drag us down and cause a mental spiral - we aren't doing enough, we should have done this or that, if I would have taken the time to put this in place we wouldn't be here - and the list goes on and on.
In this episode, I share the unrealistic goals and expectations I put on myself which rarely had me feel like I was successful in my caregiving role
I also share better ways to define success in caregiving so success feels more realistic and doable and qualities to be aware of and work on to help you become more successful in your role and redefine how you view that success.
